A life-long creator, Danielle was
first introduced to scratch art in
2002 (a medium that requires
different sizes of blades to scratch
away a black ink surface to reveal
a white kaolin clay underneath,
bringing forth light). Since 2015,
Danielle has devoted her full
attention to this medium;
illustrating, taking commission
orders and participating in art
shows around Western Washington.
She was awarded 1st place in the
Director’s Choice Award in the
2019 Edmonds Art Show.
The delicate and diligent strokes Danielle uses to create her art tell a story of their own. For we too are tiny strokes of brilliance etched into the canvas of this wondrous world. Each one of us, wonderfully and fearfully made and so incredibly vital to the big picture.

When Danielle is not in the studio etching light into the darkness, she keeps herself busy caring for her four children and enjoying backpacking and every-day adventures with her husband and children in the beautiful PNW. Her Instagram, @adventurefor6 emulates the beauty of family and the wild in the same way her art emulates light.
